Hotels and motels are always popular choices for dogs welcome accommodation, but why not also consider some of the smaller lodgings? Some cottages or cottage resorts, bed & breakfasts, and vacation rentals sometimes have more room for dogs to explore and are often much quieter than busy hotels.

Some dog-friendly accommodations also offer "pet amenities". These can include dog pick-up bags; a 'welcome' biscuit or treat; the use of dog dishes, leashes, or even dog beds during your stay; a list of nearby dog-sitters or doggy daycares; and information on nearby off-leash parks or dog beaches.
